The first 15 miles of Denali National Park is open to traffic; beyond that only tour buses are allowed. At the 15-mile mark is Savage Rock, this beautifully rugged rock formation. We watched as a park ranger that we had talked to earlier scrambled up the rock like a mountain goat, and decided to see if we could do the same!

The trees were just starting to turn in the park. There were splashes of brilliant yellow and orange throughout.
