About 60 miles west of Juneau is Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. It's the original waterpark; much of the park is salt water. A day-long cruise the the town of Gustavus takes you into the nooks and crannies--inlets, lagoons, and passages-- of the park. Some scenes from the journey.
I've seen hundreds of pinnipeds in Alaska, but for the life of me I still can't tell a harbor seal from a sea lion. Harbor seals are supposed to lack visible ear flaps (they have ear holes, just no flaps), so I think these are harbor seals.
