A while back, I put together a book of images called Bare Beauty,
a collection of 97 photographs celebrating the beauty of the stark, unadorned tree.

While touring Washington D.C. last week, I captured an image that will be the start of Bare Beauty, the Sequel:

Graft by Roxy Paine - made of stainless steel and concrete
At the Sculpture Garden, National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.
From Bare Beauty:
It's easy to be enthralled by the beauty of a tree in its summer bloom or autumn foliage. But it's the unadorned tree, sans blossom or foliage that always catches my eye. Without the distraction of flower or leaf, its "skeleton" reveals its core essence.... The silhouette of a tree against the sky never fails to draw me in. Reaching tall into the sky, or gnarly and bent from the wind.... The neurobiologist in me sees nerve cell dendrites in the intricate branches.

This post strikes a cord, or branch, with me. Naked trees have always been my favorite art form and I love to photograph them. Thanks for sharing your photos. As beautiful as expected!
