Alabama! Alabama! And no spit cup at that. No dipping? what? ice cream, the cash register. Will you continue to head west?

DonnaK: Yeah, I wondered about the dipping too. Is it something you do with tobacco? No, not heading any further west for the moment (though Phoenix is a possibility in the future). Heading to Virginia next.

On the other hand, I think it's bit reassuring that there are still places in the country that have not been McDonaldized. Just an idea--Go find at Golden Arches place and see if you find a sign that was not issued by headquarters.

Did you have any problems with yuor car while there? See below for the curse of Sikes & Kohn's

Dipping, and don't ask how I know this, is a reference to moist smokeless tobacco; a plug of which is packed between the cheek and teeth. We northerners know it as chewing tobacco. Barf.

Donna: LOL, that's funny about the curse. I must have escaped it, no curse here.

Joanne: Thanks, Wikipedia Joanne! (And no, I won't ask how you know that....:o))

I'm so disappointed now...I was so looking forward to seeing a photo of your spit cup!!
