| Walking along Sinquerim Beach in Goa on Christmas Day, I spotted some parasailers, and knew (in spite of big sister Donna's vehement protests!) that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it.
For those who are not familiar with the sport, parasailing is when you are attached to a parachute-like canopy and towed behind a boat. |
|
The type of parasailing that was being done here is known as beach parasailing, because you take off and land right on the beach. This is slightly different from the winchboat parasailing that I've tried previously in Florida, where you take off and land on the boat that pulls you along. |
A clean landing!

Wow... very cool. Nice pics, as always. I've gotta say the temperature diff. between Chennai and Rochester seems pretty large right now -- tonight it will be a low of 13, tomorrow night will be 4 degrees, and they say the *high* will for Tuesday will be 12. The Chennai weather predictions for this upcoming week at Weather.com look like a freakish data error -- a high of 87 is forecast for every day!
