Thanks for all the well-wishes, comments, and inquiries. Post-tsunami Chennai is almost back to normal, though other parts of Tamil Nadu (or even more so, other Asian countries) are definitely not. There has been so much about this disaster that has been heart-wrenching that it's hard to find any more words, apart from those everyone has already seen and heard in media coverage.
Several of you have asked me about donations for tsunami relief. Aside from those organizations you already know about and can trust (American Red Cross, for example) I'm hesitant to recommend any organizations that I don't personally know about, since I've been hearing a lot here about aid not getting to where it's intended. I'm checking into the possibility of doing some volunteer work with a local organization that is working on long-term aid for tsunami victims in our state. Will let you know if they are doing worthwhile work and could use some help.
My sister and I returned from Agra (land of the Taj Mahal) today. After a total of over 120 hours spent on trains in the last couple weeks, we're both pretty tired, but very content with our travels and experiences. I have almost 1000 pictures to show for it, and many tales to tell.
But as I sit here trying to begin, I find myself with a case of blogger's block. Words just aren't coming easily today.
Hope to resume blogging when I get my muse back. . .
