First order of business in my new home - find transportation. When in India, do as the Indians, and since motorcycles are the most popular form of transportation, I decide to forego a car rental and get a motorcycle instead. What do y'all think?
Just KIDDING! Donna and Lesley, put down that phone!
It's just my workmates welcoming me back to Chennai by taking me out for a spin around the city.
However...I know there is a clause in my contract that says I am not allowed to visit any "axis of evil" countries --- but I don't recall anything about not being able to get a motorcycle -- so anything is possible.... ;o)

YOU STOP THAT THIS INSTANT!!!!!!! You are supposed to come back to us safe and sound!!!!!!

Go Motor Mama! (although for myself I would go with a nice rickshaw, better exercise and very retro!) I will be living an Indian year through you! I'm surprised you didn't don your native garb as soon as you hit the soil. And for those caffeine headaches, don't forget they're famous for their tea (I still have a box from my last visit). When is the wedding, your co-worker's that is-although you never know, it all happens during one season you know!

HEY! Where's your helmet????
It's all fun and games 'til someone gets hurt. :-P
It is soooo cold here, Basia! I bet you wish you were here to enjoy the -8 degree temps!

Are you really, really there on the other side of the earth? Do you realize that the "Ice Man" (that mummified man from the Bronze-Age found in Austria) was chemically determined to have traveled no more than 12 miles from his place of birth during his entire lifetime! You modern women think the whole world is your home!!
Looking forward to lots of interesting tales and adventures. Be sure to meet Nisha Sharma during your stay!

How has your first week been? I got spoiled by getting almost daily postings last time. I know you can't keep that up when you're there for a year, but my cravings for an India fix are getting strong. Just hoping you're settling in Ok.
