The village where these pictures were taken
Special note to Lesley (for those of you who don’t know, that’s my manager, who is responsible for my being here): Based on my first few entries, it probably sounds like I’m having WAY too much fun out here to be getting paid for this, but I really am getting some work done as well, I swear! (Is it too soon to talk about my second trip to India…? :o))
I learned a new trick today for crossing the crazy streets of Chennai. I don’t even bother looking at the traffic anymore, I just position myself between two Indians, one on each side of me, and when they move, I move with them…
And yes, the Indian boys did redeem themselves today. The males in the office were all very courteous, gracious and welcoming. I had arranged for a car and driver to drop me off and pick me up from work, and they insisted that they could provide transportation, so I ditched the driver…
So, in that spirit, I’ll release some of the boy pictures…

I am so homesick for Mother India-what is the Polish word for it "tesk". I log on every morning after my "puja" and knowing you're discovering the incredible life there just makes me break out into a big smile! Tell me about the chai--and have you had a fresh coconut lopped off for you
